Must admit I was expecting a number off the players who have left to turn up at Thame. Maybe the budget there is the problem So Ezra is the first to be announced at Thame. Considering the strikers we have signed so far, can't say I'm surprised. Another very good player gone

Certainly had his moments with us. Looking forward to seeing how our new attacking players fare though.

I thought he was good the last game of last season - where he scored one and set up another.
Other than that, I'm struggling to think of too many memorable performances. I don't think he delivered what he was/is capable of.
Onwards we go - if a player doesn't want to be part of the club, then that's up to them - no room for the half committed.

Very much agreed, how many times has he left us before as well? I can remember at least 2? Is that the type of mentality JW was mentioning

It's very much what JW was talking about. Any player not re-signing this summer either doesn't really want to play for Aylesbury Utd (or wasn't prepared to change their ways to continue to do so) or wasn't in the manager's plans or in some cases I expect both. I've no real problem with this, its a short career and its important players play where they are happy and feel they are able to give their utmost.
This summer has been a stark reminder (not just at our club) that bar a few exceptions the only people that are truly committed to any club are its supporters.

Now Ollie Hogg has joined Thame. Happy to see him back in the Southern League, much much better than Step 5!

Indeed. I was being facetious given what we were told when he left us. I'm glad he's still able to play, too good to be on the shelf at such a young age.

It is a shame we couldn’t tempt Holt to stay. He’s going to be a great player. I wouldn’t be surprised if he is off to better things this side of Christmas if it clicks for him there.

Both were decent players with good potential, would have seen no issue giving Josh the number 1 shirt if he had stayed with us either - he looked more than capable of Southern League football.
