... from a fabulous win. This was the best all round performance I've seen all season. We were very good in all the Bedford games, but they were disciplined, heroic backs against the wall performances. This one was bloody good all round, constantly causing the 4th placed team attacking problems, with Cove and daniels running riot. An indication of how good it was - Callan didn't have to make any of his usual worldies, and wasn't motm!
Tuttle has got them well organised, disciplined, working hard and making the best use of the limited resources he has.
Back line did really well; must help it now being a fairly settled back 5. Keegan is bedding in nicely and Tuttle junior did well at l.b. Very vocal and an organiser , which is 1 area where we are short. Midfield was even better; Lynn a calming influence, Pearce like a duracell bunny whilst Beadle just glided through the game and looks a level above. 2 wide men as I've said were a joy to watch. Braydon got 2 , but imho Cove shaded the motm.
5 of the starting XI are 20 or below and 2 of the 3 subs are only 21
huge result, especially with Barton & Kempston losing, nice little gap between us and the dead men.
great chance to put the icing on the cake on Saturday - please don't get complacent lads and bugger it up!

The game summed up perfectly there. Looks like we are moving on nicely from the events of the end of January.
It would be very Aylesbury United for it to go wrong on Saturday especially as North Leigh appear to be improving and are adding to their squad but with the same application levels as last night we could be in an even better position on Saturday evening going into the Kidlington and Thame games.

1 area that could be improved is game management. It's got better, but we are still not making those naughty little fouls when they turn over our possession. James has a bit to learn there; needs to be developing cramp late in the game, n he never falls to the ground having made a save. Finally, why dont we get the longest thrower to take the throw ins at crucial parts of the game? Makes such a difference if someone can get it 20 yards up the line. All these things waste time n break up the flow of play for the oppo .

The game summed up perfectly there. Looks like we are moving on nicely from the silliness of the end of January. It would be the most ‘Aylesbury’ thing ever for us to lose to North Leigh! What impressed me most last night was the hard work and application from the players. Lynn was like a player manager in that midfield and it seemed to encourage others to be more vocal. Also not sure if it’s just me but they seem to look a lot fitter? Dave Pearce looks like he’s had his readybrek but maybe due to extra sessions with Risborough?!

Agree - great summary. Tom Cove outstanding, Brayden had them terrified. In terms of game management I thought we came through their little spell of resurgence after half time pretty well, conceded but responded well and got the lead back. Also, no worldly saves but a worldly goal line clearance from Woody, at a key moment when they were coming back into it. First game I’ve been to since Kempston but thought Jake looked much more confident and assured than I’ve seen him in a while. Overall, excellent performance.

What's the problem, "ohduckinghell"? Just checking you're still alive. You should come back too. You're only punishing yourself at this stage.
