Well that was a frustrating evening in Kidlington. They seem to be mid new manager bounce and definitely got the run of the play.
Best not to dwell on it too much and focus on Kempston Saturday. Not squeaky bum time just yet but definitely need to improve drastically to keep our step 4 status….

Thought midfield looked poor tonight completely overrun by them. Didn’t help Tuttle jr came off injured, looked very disjointed when he came off. I thought max played well but we definitely look stronger with keegan in at right back.
Good thing we got the results we did, new manager has done well to keep us in this situation and have a fighting chance.
Next season I think a big rebuild is needed with many players moving on.
6 points for me confirms safety let’s try start this Saturday
Keep the faith! COYD

Was a decent enough performance until their first goal right on half time. It was a good finish but the ball probably should have been cleared beforehand.
The two goals in the second half were soft goals to concede. Our goal was one they’ve cheered on loads of times at the ASM in recent years. A lovely cross from West well headed home by Pearce. We looked dangerous for a while in the second half but didn’t really force Hoppy into any of the worldie saves we admired so much last season.
Someone’s poor mini run will come to an end at Kempston tomorrow. I really hope it’s ours or we could be relying on snookers over the next few weeks.
Presumably with Charley injured and Risborough having a game Keegan and Ken will come back into the squad tomorrow. I’d be tempted to play Jake at left back and bring Derek back into the team as we looked a bit limp on attacking corners and free kicks last night and Derek would bring some attacking presence in these situations.
Completely agree that a rebuild is needed in the summer (maybe involving trying to bring back some previously loyal players?) whatever our division next season. Who oversees that rebuild is a massive decision.

Another dose of reality.
Is this steadying the ship?
