Any player that doesn’t want to play for this great club anymore goes with my thanks and best wishes. It’s a short career and it’s important that a player is happy where they play as they’re all one bad tackle away from it all being over. Any player that wants to join / rejoin our great club and is willing to give their best whilst here also gets my thanks and best wishes. In all honesty last season’s squad only secured its step 4 place on the final day so it’s not as if a title winning squad is being dismantled. The current manager is the manager until he isn’t and it’s important he’s allowed to manage as he sees fit whilst it’s his job to do so. Couldn't agree more Lee! Good to see Tuttle added to his backelroom staff.

👍
I wonder if ‘Harry’ would be good enough to tell us what he is trying to achieve with his posts…

Due to clubs/managers change of focus and how players should be paid regardless of ability, the following players have departed. Lynn Feyi D Feyi K Cove Beadle Pearce Braydon back to ox city Max back to America Others id image will soon follow. Fans will be happy to know hopwood will soon be back though (providing he’s happy getting a lot less than previously on) also imagine French and co will soon return, congratulations on entering back into 2020. Best of luck to those genuine fans and the club for next season. Hard work in creating a young exciting future with talented young players officially dismantled. In my opinion this is ridiculous, if all these players do leave, Thankyou for your service, but we’ve struggled two seasons on the bounce, change was needed and I’m liking tuttles under the radar approach, if the management additions are anything to go by, I’m looking forward to seeing what else he has up his sleeve! First time in a long time I’m excited for a new season! COYD!

I’m just excited he hinted that Sonny French might be coming back 😂 I would be surprised to see Hopwood and French come back, given the negative propaganda that was spread about them last summer by certain people at the club, but if you gave me the choice of those two or Lynn and Pearce representing Aylesbury United, I know who I'd take, and it certainly wouldn't be 'Harry'.

Whatever happens this summer we will need a bigger squad. I see the the Isthmian League confirmed at their AGM that 5 subs will be allowed per league game. Rising from 3 subs last season. From the comments online it looks like this will be the case across all step 4 leagues?
Seismic change at our level likely creating a bigger gap between the haves and have nots in the league.

Good point that, Nelmo. They've had five substitutions at lower levels (and in that one FA Cup game at Ashton & Backwell apparently) for a while now. Huge advantage if you have a matchday squad of 16 good players but that will certainly be easier to achieve for some than others depending on budget. You would think it'd be easier to keep a bigger squad happy with the fringe players much more likely to play a part every week.
PS nice League of Gentlemen reference, ODH!

For years non-league has been lauded as an alternative to the pro game but the fact of the matter is it’s become more and more similar to the pro game in terms of the gulf between the have and have nots.

Couldn’t agree more. It’s not even about the haves and have nots. Five subs means games have far less flows as obviously you finish the game with nearly half of your starting line up replaced. Really quite annoyed by this as it is as one of the reasons I’ve lost interest in the pro game.

Just wondering if this decision was brought about to try and reduce player movement ie players getting more game time meaning they don't move on as much? But agree, 3 subs per game seems ample and can imagine that without 4th officials this will be difficult for the officials to keep on top of to say nothing of requiring more room in the dugouts! Also, wonder how many clubs at our level will have a sub keeper amongst the 5?

With the first friendly imminent and therefore assuming pre-season training has been going on, do we know if anyone has signed on yet or who has been attending training? In previous years, I'm sure there were regular announcements following training as to who had put pen to paper.

Good question, I would imagine we’re know more after the first couple of weeks, people on holiday etc but I am sure Tuttle with the new staff will have players in, I’ve heard we’ve had good numbers and training started a lot earlier that every other team
