was very encouraging for the first 60 minutes whilst the first choice team were out. Young fit, eager and some really good football at times against a poor U18 side. Good crowd in as well (150-200?). Think this is the team we will see at Thame next week. Hoppy in goal , the impressive Liam Batchelor-Morgan at right back (young lad but seems to have turned out for loads at clubs at steps 4-6) Tuttle junior, Jake & Jack.
Midfield is a completely new lot - Ben Stallard (ex Binfield) a tall, young blonde lad from Chesham who played centre back v.Edgware but centre mid yesterday, Brandon Green (don't know anything else about him) & Morrison Hashii ,who is a GB/Japanese lad who is lightning quick and a real little pest! Scored loads of goals at step 6 an I think people will enjoy watching him. The other really exciting newcomer yesterday was Luqman Kassim who I think has played in Finland for the last 4-5 years .Very impressed with him. Up front was a big Polish lad, kamil Zielinski (ex Ascot?), who scored the goal at Winslow. A willing runner and showed some nice touches.
the subs didn't really add anything ,although the reserve centre half looked ok, as did Kwai Marsh-Brown. Add the fact that 2 or 3 of the players missing yesterday had shown up well in previous friendlies, and it's got the makings of a decent squad

Did the young lad in midfield with the ponytail play? He’s looked lively when he has played in pre season. Not sure what his name is but hopefully we have signed him

You’re talking about Zeid Hannachi. He has singed and I would expect him to be pushing for a start against Thame even though he didn’t play yesterday.

One thing we will need is another front man. At the moment that 40 year old Josh is having to fill in, and we can't go long term with him as the reserve option

Agree, maybe there’ll be a few loan forwards becoming available over the next few days? I noticed the other day that MK Dons have sent a player to Arlesey on a work experience loan. Not beyond the realms of possibility that they would be willing to send a player or two our way as well?

Apparently the Kempston bloke who just resigned has good contacts at Mk, which is how the friendly came about

Thanks for sharing the analysis, sounds really positive. Was really hoping to make the game but life got in the way. Hopefully I can make the Thame game.

Certainly plenty to be positive about. Would encourage a little bit of patience as well given its more or less a brand new squad.
